They may choose to have their procedure or procedures performed at the Trillium Health Center or at our advanced clinic, which fully meets all standards for elective and emergency care. Dr. Frank Lista takes great pride in his work and never allows students, residents, or surgical assistants to do any of the surgery on his patients. When a plastic surgery procedure necessitates general anesthesia, Dr. Lista will enlist the assistance of a physician who is a certified specialist in administering anesthesia. The Pain-Relief Pump
Dr. Lista understands that when our Brampton, Oakville, Mississauga, and Toronto patients undergo plastic surgery, some degree of pain is often inevitable. He knows that pain can limit a patient's mobility, slow the recovery process, and even result in depression. For these reasons, Dr. Lista prescribes pain relieving medications to control our patients' discomfort after surgery. Our progressive surgeon also has introduced the revolutionary pain-relief pump to help patients minimize the pain that occurs after surgery.
The pain-relief pump is a small device that the patient wears on a belt, usually for 24 hours after surgery. The device automatically dispenses the long-acting local anesthetic bupivacaine through very thin tubes to the surgical site. As the pain-relief pump slowly drips the anesthetic, pain is virtually eliminated. Our patients are amazed by the results, and most patients who use the pain-relief pump need no other medication to control pain. This has been a great boon to our Mississauga and Toronto plastic surgery patients who cannot tolerate narcotic painkillers.
Dr. Frank Lista regularly prescribes the pain-relief pump for patients who have a tummy tuck or breast procedure. However, this extraordinarily effective device can be used to relieve the pain that might result from other procedures as well. With the pain-relief pump, our patients recover more quickly, feel better, and are generally much happier after their surgery.
Financing Your Plastic Surgery
For the convenience of our Brampton, Oakville, Mississauga, and Toronto patients, the Plastic Surgery Clinic offers several different financing plans to help patients pay for their treatment. Because these plans are arranged through major lending institutions that regularly finance medical and cosmetic surgical procedures, the process is easy and completely confidential. After a patient fills out an application form available at our office, we submit the form, and approval usually comes within 24 hours. Payment plans are liberal, and the balance may be paid off at any time without penalty.
